The advanced entertainment law class taught me legal
principles, terms, and how they relate to the entertainment industry. I was
able to enhance my research skills by using legal databases to conduct research
for papers. The most important topics we studied in class were intellectual
property, copyright infringement, digital law, and the court system. These
legal principles will help me while working for a major company because I will
know what is and isn’t acceptable. We were also asked to interview a lawyer in
the entertainment industry. This gave me a real insight of the industry and the
many career paths of an entertainment lawyer.
